Interesting interview Walter..nice points of view.
The Blackmagic camera is causing quite a stir in London, and Autodesk Smoke 2013 is just going off the Richter scale. Adobe and Avid all seems a bit mundane by comparison.
The only point I would disagree is your “cross platform view”
I started out at University using DEC PDP mainframes and have been through many iterations of machine/software etc since.
My biggest concern is the “distillation” of the core UNIX kernel in OSX over to where they may be heading with their IOS model.
I look after quite a few HP Z400/800s and whilst they are fine machines, you are extremely welcome to use your Windows 7 (8) 64bit systems, but not an OS I would choose, but it gives us IT guys a LOT of work to do…Thanks!!
